I've purchased suppressors and firearm them in the past, so this was especially frustrating. I was recently told they would not transfer a suppressor using a Form 4473, saying ATF and their attorneys instructed them not to do so. Meanwhile, other FFL/SOT dealers around the country are conducting these transfers for customers covered by the current court order. I respect their right to make their own business decisions, but as a longtime customer and Second Amendment supporter, I find their position extremely disappointing and not supportive of my rights. After this experience, I will likely take my business elsewhere.

Mike, We are not going to listen to the “Facebook lawyers” jumping to conclusions. As an FFL, we are going to follow the guidance and direction our lawyers and the ATF, the agency that regulates our license. We will wait until all of the facts and requirements are clearly established. There are still serious questions that have not been answered. Such as: how are suppressors to be classified now that the NFA is changing? Do both instate and out of state residents qualify to purchase? Is a concealed carry license acceptable in lieu of a background check as it can be for certain firearm transactions? These are not minor details, and getting them wrong could jeopardize our customers, our FFL, and the jobs of our 35 employees. We are not willing to gamble any of those things based on social media speculation or someone’s interpretation of a court ruling. Regarding your claim about Interstate Guns: a simple Google search shows that Interstate Guns stated on Instagram on August 13, 2026, that they are not processing suppressor transfers via Form 4473. Your statement is simply false, I am sure you will "edit" it soon. We will continue to follow the law, wait for ATF guidance, and put the interests of our customers and employees ahead of internet speculation and a quick cash grab. When the rules and requirements are clear, we will act accordingly. We want to sale silencers via 4473 as much as anyone, we just want to do it correctly, and legally.
